What is Job Outlook?

Job outlook is how much the government predicts a career will gain or lose jobs within a certain time period. Keep in mind some careers have a small number of jobs (like actors vs. cashiers) so a big, positive job outlook number doesn't necessarily mean lots of new jobs nationwide. The average total change for all careers is 7 percent.
